Meet Brandy
Brandy C. Adams is a U.S. Air Force veteran, educator, author, yoga instructor, and spoken word artist dedicated to helping individuals and organizations build resilience through trauma-informed wellness, mindfulness, and creative expression.
Originally from Detroit, Michigan, Brandy has spent her career serving communities through education, advocacy, and healing. As the founder of F.E.N.I.X. Yoga, she designs accessible programs that blend movement, breathwork, storytelling, and reflective practices to support emotional well-being across diverse populations.
Her work has reached schools, veterans, nonprofits, community organizations, businesses, and government agencies throughout Louisiana and beyond. Drawing on her experience as a Montessori educator for 12 years, she creates learning environments where curiosity, self-awareness, and meaningful connection can flourish.
Brandy is also the author of Root & Flame and Thoughts from a Pandemic Yogi, using poetry and personal storytelling to explore healing, identity, justice, and transformation.
Whether teaching a yoga class, facilitating a workshop, or performing spoken word, she believes that lasting wellness begins when people feel seen, heard, and empowered.
At the heart of every offering is a simple mission: to help people reconnect with themselves, strengthen their communities, and discover practical tools they can carry into everyday life.
